Spring and Summer 2020 was filled with Cottage Projects stretching from Lake George, NY to Martha’s Vineyard. The Cottage Projects encompassed a variety of pieces including nautical mirrors, clean white headboards and nightstands, beautifully repurposed bar cabinets, and even a custom made cleat board!

Before: The dry sink will function as a bar in the family room and will highlight the copper tray insert.

After: Painted Oxford Blue by Annie Sloan, this rich indigo blue added character against the bead board wall. The hardware was updated with copper metallic wax to match the copper tray. Ready for cocktail hour!

Before: Bar Cart. This mid-century meets Mediterranean cabinet with a leather surface functions as a bar cart in this dining room. Over the winter the room was repainted, staged with new and existing accessories, now this piece needs some updating.

After: Bar Cart Cabinet was Painted a pure white which brings out the leather surface top which complements the new hardware finished in dark bronze. The transitional design style gives it a whole new vibe.

Before: Light oak sofa/ entry table

After: This entry hall table needed a pop of color to blend with the interior, rugs, and craftsman’s design style. Unfortunately, due to COVID exterior photos were our only option. Painted Aubusson Blue, accented with warm metallic wax elevates this table with a touch of glamour.

Before: Antique cherry headboard was a third-generation piece to be used to stage a guest bedroom. The character and detail are amazing.

After: This beauty has been painted a warm grey, lightly distressed, and sealed with clear wax for protection. Just add white bedding with this piece for a modern farmhouse vibe.

Martha’ Vineyard: Twin nightstands painted a soft white chalk paint for the cottage master bedroom.

Boat Cleat Board

Lake George NY– When space is limited in a cottage, use a wall to create a piece that is both functional and fun. The boat cleats and colors add a nautical vibe, the wallboard was made custom by my husband. The guest bedroom now has a place to hang towels or sweatshirts.
